Greetings Friends and Members,
What a glorious month we have to look forward to! May
is when we celebrate great food and fun with Cinco De Mayo/5, reserve prayers for those in need on National Prayer Day/7, love up our moms on Mother’s Day/10 and salute our brave warriors’ sacrifice on Memorial Day/25. No matter what celebrations come your way, seize the day and make memories that feed your soul! Don’t forget the May 1st luncheon will feature our scholarship students and their parents. A very inspiring day!
On the National Day of Prayer,
please give prayers so our members might experience the grace of His love as they grieve their losses. Prayers that our members nursing family members be given solace, that they might face their challenges with His love and a heart filled with hopefulness. We send prayers to all our friends we’ve not seen regularly and are hopeful they are well and ask for the comforts of His grace, may our friendships shine through the darkness and be a beacon of hope.
Highlights in these Lark Notes
are too many to count..hence the extended edition! Ten pages of wow…we did that! This club is mighty with members who make a positive difference in our community. Please read through to see all the good we do and check out all that is upcoming. Page 1 is our monthly calendar and page 6 highlights our activities. May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
See the attached flier for the Baldwin Park City Mental Health Walk with vendors, entertainment and support! Please share the flier with family and friends. It is the same day as our Fashion Show but many of our families may enjoy the day’s activities and the vendors may provide support information to someone in need.
A wonderful event this month is our Fashion Show scheduled for May 16th. Tickets will be on sale at the May 1st meeting and you may also RSVP until May 14th and Pay at the Door. So far we have 8 models and lots of planning completed. We still need raffle items, please read your Lark Notes! It promises to be a delicious lunch, a fun show and a good opportunity to pick up some great deals on clothes, accessories and even jewelry! SAVE THE DATE and plan to join us with family members or friends.
To our friends who are mothers…we know how important you are in your family dynamic. You hold that same regard in our club, we appreciate you!
